Job Purpose:

To effectively manage and control the European order to cash processes for DHL’s largest customers, guaranteeing continuous cash flow, customer satisfaction, elimination of errors at source and compliance to terms and conditions that impact key KPI’s.The expertise from the European Key Account Desk employee will be used for new on boarding’s or expansion of large customer contracts.

Job accountabilities:

• Make sure all documentation is visible for country CFO’s, order to cash managers, Accounts receivable managers, billing departments, the head office in Germany, Finance and logistics managers. Also maintain a good relationship with these stakeholders.
• Manage accounts receivable for one or multiple large customers across Europe by liaising frequenting with all involved stakeholders.
• Guarantee that all contractual conditions are being applied correctly across all billing systems and ensure consistency of order to cash processes for the customer.
• Deal with all customer invoice related queries and ensure that all issues are carefully analysed and actions are taken to avoid any repetition of the root causes.
• Ensure that the customer is contacted at appropriate intervals.
• Development of customer specific treatment plans.
• Create monthly, quarterly and biyearly reporting.
• Optimize billing, collections and payment process at DHL for the optimal experience for the customer.
• Ability to do a full in depth analysis of the customer payment behaviour.
• Continuously monitor the external market for customer trend/issues to minimize any cash flow risk for DHL.
• Understand the customers market and competition environment and adapt own range of services.
• Capable to use expertise for new business expansion of customer contracts.

Job Relationships:

• Build and maintain good and professional relationships with key internal and external stakeholders surrounding managed customers.
• Build and maintain a European network with customer administration- and billing departments in order to optimize order to cash service delivery for the key accounts.
• Be the knowledge expert for the commercial community when it comes to all finance related topics for your customer. Be able to represent DHL in front of the customer at executive level, if and when necessary, to negotiate any invoice related issues and contractual conditions.

What we are asking for:

• Bachelor or University education
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a related field.
• Experience with large and international customers
• Good knowledge of MS Office.
• Fluent in English. Knowledge of any additional languages is preferred
• Combination of excellent communication skills and strong analytical skills
