Are you the engineer with navigation expertise we are looking for? Do you want to help protect society from the disruptive effects of interference in satellite navigation? And do you have the skills to take our team to the next level? If so, we’d like to talk to you! What will you be doing? 

You will work on innovative concepts to optimize the performance of satellite navigation (GNSS) solutions. As part of the navigation team, you will acquire and manage navigation projects, using your technical expertise as well as management skills. You will have the opportunity to work on new position, navigation and timing technologies for Galileo and EGNOS. At the same time you will develop your personal skills as a project manager. You will have regular contact with customers - industry and governments, both national and European – and like giving well-founded advice. You are a team player who will make the navigation team stronger.

At NLR, you will be part of our satellite navigation team. On a daily basis you will work in project teams of varying composition. Working at NLR is typified by its variety and dynamic working relationships. The navigation team works from both our Amsterdam and Marknesse locations.

What are we looking for?*

• You have a Master degree in physics, geosciences, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a similar field
• You have 5+ years’ experience in the GNSS or similar navigation field (such as autonomous driving)
• You have an understanding of the GNSS and navigation market
• You can bridge the gap between technology customer needs
• You have experience with project management
• You communicate easily with customers and stakeholders
• You have a pro-active mindset to explore and identify new opportunities
• You are driven to keep developing yourself
• You are analytical and result-oriented
• You are fluent in English, both in writing and speaking
• You have a good command of the Dutch language or are willing to learn it

The Aerospace Systems Information Supremacy (ASIS) department focuses on space systems and their applications. We support both government and industry in the domains of space, defence and security and critical infrastructure. We are organized into four market-oriented teams. Most people are involved in several teams and projects, often working together with colleagues from other departments.
