HR internship available at Unilever in Vlaardingen

Within the HR team of Unilever Research & Development we are looking for an enthusiastic intern to start as soon as possible. The HR team Vlaardingen supports the Research & Development site where about 800 employees are working. The site is characterized by the number of internationalities that are working here (over 30) and their passion to create products and innovations!

What are you going to do:

Currently we’re in the middle of a big transition where we will move during summer 2019 into a new building in Wageningen. It’s a big and exciting transition which covers also R&D sites abroad, including more than 1200 employees in total. Human Resources plays a vital role in this transition related to bringing people from work to work and supporting them to the best possible during these times of change.

In this inspiring and somehow unique environment we’re looking for an analytical strong, enthusiastic and hands-on HR intern!

As HR intern, you will be part of an enthusiastic team, responsible for HR policy of Unilever R&D Vlaardingen. On top of that, as a team we now have a strong focus on the transition to Wageningen in which everyone plays a key role. During your internship, you will play your own key role with your own responsibilities like for example information sessions, career support, organisational change and internal mobility. We therefore also expect that you will take initiative and have a hands-on mentality to support the HR team and the business to your best possible. Besides, you will get the chance to support our HR team on topics that are related to your specific interests. You will be able to step in at different operational tasks that come across during the day, so you can show your positive critical perspective and get a broader view on HR in practice.

What we ask:

  • 3rd or 4th year of a University (WO) or Higher Vocational Education (HBO) (Human Resources, Business Adminstration or equivalent, preferably related to human resources).
  • You have knowledge of Ms Office like Excel and PowerPoint
  • You are pro-active and analytical strong
  • You can work independently but also like to be a team-player
  • You can show your pro-activeness during your study by extracurricular activities
  • You have strong communication skills and can fluently speak and write in English
  • Interested in field of HR
  • Preferably you have shown international interest during your study
  • You are available for 4 or 5 days a week for a period of 6 months. Writing anassignment/thesis for school during your internship can be discussed, however a minimum of4 days a week for business related tasks is required.
  • You are interested in the FMCG world
