What are you going to do?

As a part-time sales assistant, you’ll be answering all sales-related questions from (potential) French customers. Your main goal is to provide additional information about the services of the gym. But you also make a few sales suggestions of your own. Anything to provide the perfect service to the customer, while never losing sight of the financial targets. 

Can you give me an example?

Mr. Marchand may call, because he’s thinking about becoming a member. However, he is not sure what kind of membership would suit him best. With a few quick questions, you easily outline his desires. Is he only interested in lifting a few weights every once in a while? Or would he be interested in joining a weekly boxing class as well?

While speaking to Mr. Marchand, you find out that he lives all the way across town. You therefore suggest that for a few euros extra, he’ll also get access to the workout app, which allows him to bring the gym to his living room. After exchanging some workout tips, you both hang up the phone with a satisfied feeling. You’ve hit your targets and Mr. Marchand has a gym that perfectly suits his needs. 

Tres bien. But I don’t have any experience in sales ...

No problem. Before you start as part-time sales assistant, you’ll follow a paid, one-week training course. From Monday to Friday between 10am and 5pm, you will learn all sorts of communication and sales techniques.  

D’accord. When can I work?

As a part-time sales assistant, you’ll work a minimum of 22 hours per week. The sales office is open from Monday to Friday from 8am till 8pm, and during the weekend from 8.30am till 5pm. Obviously, you can indicate your own availability, but your working schedule will be flexible. Would you rather work full time? That can be arranged.

One big plus: if you work on Sunday, you’ll get an extra 50 percent on top of your salary.
