Laboratory Technician at MSD Biotech in Oss

What are you going to do:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join the Biotech team in Oss!

 As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing support tasks related to the processing and analysis of test specimens. This includes logging and scanning samples to proprietary applications/databases, performing initial quality controls, and ensuring appropriate storage of samples. You will also be responsible for disposing of samples in accordance with SOPs and local and national guidelines, as well as leading the process for maintaining customer stock levels and shipments between Company labs.

In addition, you will be accountable for processing sample data received from clients and monitoring data completeness. You will oversee the receiving and cataloguing of supplies, including reagents and chemicals, into the lab. As a Lab Technician, you will ensure product quality by performing in-process checks and in-house quality measurements and calibration of scientific equipment. You will use multichannel micropipettes to perform cell lysis and prepare reagents, and you will work on sample processing utilizing a light microscope to dissect muscle fibers from animal tissue. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing documentation necessary to allow proper accountability and traceability of product in an ISO17025 environment.

Who are you?
Strong attention to detail is a must, and you should be able to follow written and verbal instructions precisely. Taking ownership of personal training and learning to develop skills to continuously improve is expected, and you should be willing to attend training classes, workshops, meetings, etc., as needed to improve job skills. You should be team-oriented, value workplace collaboration, and be able to work with minimal supervision!

What we offer:

• A gross salary between €2400 and €3200 per month (40 hours)
• Travel expenses of €0.21 per kilometer, up to €14.70 per day
• Immediate full-time employment
• Possibility of a permanent contract with MSD itself (provided you have at least an MBO-3 diploma)
