As a Research Technician, you will have the opportunity to assist in the development of innovative tools, products and concepts in the area of nutrition for our global Livestock Feed business. You will support our researchers in executing nutritional and physiological studies, managing trial data collection systems and ensuring that data is accurately analyzed and managed.

In this role, you will work in accordance with the highest quality standards, including ISO9001 and GMP+.

As the Research Technician, you will be responsible for coordinating the work dictated by the trial protocol at our animal facilities. You will work closely with researchers at the Swine Research Centre (SRC), and occasionally at our field trial facilities, to ensure that our research is conducted efficiently and effectively.

What are your key accountabilities?

• Coordination of the accurate and timely execution of the trial protocols at the animal facilities.
• Quality control of the research data.
• Developing and implementing research techniques.
• Collaborating with the researchers, the farm staff and field trial facilities.

What we ask
The ideal candidate for this position should possess several competencies, including a structured and precise approach to work, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality outcomes. He/she should also have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with individuals from different working levels. In addition, the candidate should be capable of working with pigs and have a sound understanding of their needs and behaviours. Finally, strong organizational and planning abilities are crucial to ensure smooth and efficient execution of activities.

What you bring

• Bachelor's with relevant experience or master's degree in animal or veterinary science;
• Experience with data processing and working with data management systems;
• Knowledge on Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAS analytical
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and GMP+ quality systems;
• Working knowledge of the Wod (Dutch law on animal experimentation) and certified article-13f officer for the Wod;
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both writing and speaking;
• Passion for IT (software, data handling) and eager to explore new ways to leverage it to enhance our operations.
