Job Description:

Within our driven team, we are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to play a key role in managing and maintaining our databases, both on-premise and in the Microsoft Azure environment. At the core of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, availability, and performance of our databases, enabling data-driven decision-making and optimizing our business operations.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Database Management: Take the lead in the management, maintenance, and general support of our databases, whether on-premise or in the Microsoft Azure cloud. Ensure smooth operation by performing backups, applying patches and upgrades, and fine-tuning database performance.

2. Performance Monitoring: Monitoring database performance is a crucial aspect of your role. Through vigilant monitoring and analysis, implement changes, patches, and upgrades to maximize efficiency and ensure our systems always perform optimally.

3. Database Security: Data privacy and integrity are top priorities. You are responsible for developing and maintaining robust database security protocols to ensure the safety of our data.

4. Agile Scrum Participation: Our organization operates according to the Agile Scrum framework. As a DBA, actively participate in all Scrum activities, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

5. Troubleshooting: In close collaboration with the development team, resolve database issues and optimize performance to improve overall efficiency. You are not just an administrator but also a problem solver.

6. Collaboration: Collaboration is key. Work closely with data architects and other stakeholders to ensure our databases seamlessly align with the company's needs and strategic initiatives.

Desired Qualifications:

We are looking for someone with experience as a Database Administrator, preferably in a similar environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, experience with on-premise databases, proficiency in performance optimization and troubleshooting, familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology, and strong communication skills are essential.
