As a Temporary council support specialist in Amsterdam at ING, you serve as the strategic and operational backbone of the 100-member Employee Council, ensuring its continuity in a dynamic corporate environment. Working under the Works Councils Act (WOR), you proactively advise on governance, safeguard the “One Way of Working,” and continuously optimize processes for better quality and efficiency. You act as the primary, trusted point of contact for council members, directors, and HR, navigating sensitive organizational dynamics with high discretion and professional authority.
Beyond stakeholder management, you own the council’s communication strategy to ensure full alignment with ING’s corporate voice and prepare high-level briefings for senior leaders. You also drive modernization by managing the digital workspace through SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and Power Automate, looking for ways to streamline workflows. Finally, you handle essential operational responsibilities, from designing large-scale training events and managing budgets to hiring and mentoring team interns. In this agile role, you act as the vital connector between corporate strategy and employee voice at the very heart of ING.
Wat wij bieden
- A gross hourly wage of €21.41 (including 13th-month allowance and an individual contribution of €23.94).
- A Temporary assignment for 3 months 1-7-2026 - 1-10-2026
- Full public transport coverage, or €0.30 per km by bicycle, OR €0.21 per km by car (up to a maximum of €17.00 per day).
- An internet allowance of €45.00 per month.

Wat wij vragen
- At least 6 months to a year of proven experience working closely with Works Councils, backed by a solid understanding of the Works Councils Act (WOR).
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the political awareness and organizational sensitivity needed to operate confidently at senior and board levels.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus), with a track record in creating communication plans, crafting impactful content, and using tools like Adobe Creative Suite.
- Advanced experience managing digital collaboration environments like SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and Power Automate, with a proactive focus on driving automation.
- Proven experience in organizing training and large-scale events, combined with the financial responsibility of managing budgets and forecasts.
- A strong proactive attitude and ownership mindset, comfortable working independently within a self-steering, agile environment to lead change.
