What are you going to do

You’ll be answering questions from customers via phone, e-mail and web chat. In English and German. As a full-time customer service representative in Amsterdam you’ll work at a (online) LED store with lots of international customers.

Mrs. Stürmer might send you an e-mail to inform why her three waterproof garden lights haven’t been delivered yet. Or a representative of an international company in Frankfurt calls to ask you about the possibilities of a long-term partnership in which your company would deliver 100 LED panels each month. You look up Mrs. Strümer in the internal system and tell her the lights will be there shortly. And you give the representative some general info about the possibilities before connecting him to one of your sales colleagues. Next customer, please.

Is that all?
Nope, because as a full-time customer service representative you will also take on some administrative duties. You process all orders, purchase invoices and credit notes into the internal system. Plus, you’ll also act as a sales employee in the showroom of this LED store. Once in a while, a customer might walk in to see the products with their own eyes. You show them around and tell them all about the lights and lamps.

But I don’t know a thing about LED lights…
No problem. Before you start as a full-time customer service representative, you’ll follow several training courses. And even on the job, you’ll get the chance to go to product workshops and keep your knowledge up to date.

And when will I be working?
As a full-time customer service representative, you’ll work 40 hours a week. The helpdesk and store are open from Monday to Saturday from 9am till 5pm. It’s therefore important that you can work at least two Saturdays a month.

  • Minimum mbo level 4 or equivalent ability
  • You’re fluent in German and English.
