Basic-Fit is a disruptive player in the fitness industry. Due to their unique business model they are growing fast and expanding rapidly, opening gyms in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Spain on a weekly basis. Their rapid growth effects the Financial Shared Service Center. They are looking for  ambitious and energetic people in general to add to their team and more specifically an Accounts Payable Accountant for the French division.

The location of the job is in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands but you will travel to France once every two months.

Purpose of the job
The Accounts Payable Accountant will be responsible for the accurate and timely accounts payable recording, arranging payments and will be the first point of contact for the suppliers of Basic-Fit regarding invoices and questions.

Postion within the organization
The Accounts Payable Accountant is part of the Accounts Payable team within the International Financial Shared Service Center team of Basic-Fit International, and reports directly to the Manager Financial Shared Service Center. 

Responsibilities

• Perform invoice recording and processing: enter/scan supplier invoices and responsible for all journal entries and accounting documents into the ledger for assigned countries; 
  
• Handling of the e-mailboxes (digital invoices and queries) and the received paper invoices per post; 
  
• Exception handling: liase with relevant parties to resolve invoice discrepancies; 
  
• Reconcile outstanding balances and review AP aging; 
  
• Processing payments of approved invoices (in coordination with cashmanagement team); 
  
• Perform month-end closing activities and reconciliations; 
  
• Check approval levels on invoices; 
  
• Support external audit requirements; 
  
• Ad-hoc AP/Payment related activities. 
  

Profile

• Accounting education (HEAO, MEAO, SPD or equivalent) or comparable accounting degree; 
  
• Maximum of 2 years accounting experience; 
  
• Fluent in Dutch, English and French. Spanish is preferred; 
  
• Experience with Exact Globe is preferred; 
  
• Team player, have ability to work independently and willingness to take on challenges; 
  
• Excellent communication skills; 
  
• Ability to interact with all departments and levels throughout our organization; 
  
• Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize and multitask.
