The Inside Sales Representative Europe role is an Amsterdam-based position that provides a direct linkage between Marketing and Sales in managing lead qualification and advancement, targeted marketing campaigns and administrative activities. This Inside Sales Representative Europe shall assist the Sales Managers in Europe in the achievement of his/her sales targets by building the sales funnel and facilitating other aspects of the sales process as needed. The main focus is upon building and developing new and existing contacts in order to look for new opportunities. In this position, you will work closely with the different (international) departments within VisualSonics, being Sales, Application management, Marketing and Support.What are you going to do?
- Set up customer appointments for Sales Managers;
- With input from the Sales Managers, strategically identify research contacts for lead generation and research prospective contacts on the internet;
- Expand knowledge of new applications and markets as they develop in the preclinical and clinical research fields;
- Follow up on marketing and sales generated leads within a specified timeframe;
- Follow up with customers at determined/appropriate times for discussion on literature received, new publications pertaining to their research, etc.;
- With input from the VSI Marketing Department, execute targeted phone and email marketing campaigns to generate demand for VSI products and services;
- Utilize and maintain contact and opportunity information in the SFDC database
- Develop new accounts via market research;
- Conduct account-specific research independently and as directed by the Director of Sales. Read research sites for applicability to our technology;
- Make initial calls and send info by email to determine interest by potential clients;
- Send follow up letters after demo/symposia soliciting feedback/next steps;
- Provide consistent support for each sales territory supported;
- Cold calling to acquire potential customers.
The position reports directly to the Vice President Sales High Frequency EMEA & Asia Pacific.
Internally, this position must work closely with the Vice President of Sales, Sales Managers, Marketing, Applications and Administration. Externally, this position must work closely with customers and outside groups as required.
