International Finance Officer in Amsterdam

DAQSO International B.V. Is a trading company specializing in wholesale & distribution of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG). The company is located in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and employs colleagues from all around Europe. DAQSO International B.V. Is an Associate Company of Salvo Grima Group.

We are now looking for a full time International Finance Officer to join our team in the Netherlands.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Is detailed-oriented, whilst also keeping the bigger picture in sight;
• Has the ability work on own initiative as well as part of a team;
• Has an adequate qualification in finance/ accountancy;
• Is fluent in English, both written and spoken. Fluency in Dutch and/or in any other language would also be an asset;
• Is self-motivated, highly organised, and has previous proven experience in a similar role;
• Has the ability to work and adapt within a fast-paced, ever-changing, international environment;
• Is analytical and commercially minded, with an ability to close deals;
• Is computer literate, showing good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools. Having good knowledge of Microsoft Navision or Business Central would be an asset.

Duties include:

• Overseeing the maintenance of subsidiary ledgers and other financial records of one or more business units, supervising accounts officers;
• Assisting in the process of preparing management accounts and in year-end processes;
• Supporting the Finance Manager of assigned business units and team members where required;
• Preparing VAT returns and financial data required for official bodies and Government departments;
• Liaising with the group’s auditors and other business units service providers;
• Preparing up-to-date bank balances, debtor and creditor positions, and other financial data;
• Contributing to the ongoing development and strengthening of internal controls;
• Liaising with customers and following outstanding balances;
• Carrying out intercompany reconciliations, as well as credit card transactions postings;
• Ensuring payments are made to suppliers in a correct and timely manner.
