What is the position about?
As a Financial Specialist you need to analyse internal and external developments, and to apply policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with finance strategies. As part of your work, you need to contribute to accurate, up-to-date, and compliant financial administration and insights, minimization of risks and optimization of business processes.
Also the role involves special projects or activities as needed, for example contributes to the design, management of financial processes (budget, reporting, and compliance). You need to assist in the company's monthly and yearly closing, setting up internal control systems and adopting Nutreco policies for financial reporting. You will work for 4 entities, such as the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark and France. As part of your job, you need to collaborate with the Finance Shared Service Center (FSSC) to resolve discrepancies and variances.
What are your key accountabilities:
Identifying and implementing improvements to systems, processes, and practices to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of the processes.
Analysing financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
Staying updated on financial regulations and accounting standards.
Managing and participating in (a portfolio of) projects and delivering the required outcomes, according to targeted outcome, timing, budget and quality of deliverables.
Acting as a liaison with managers, advising and supports\ing them concerning all finance related matters, and formulating and presenting possible solutions.

What you bring
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and financial reporting
At least 3 years of experience in a similar roll
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Excellent command of the English language in word and writing, Dutch is also preferred, but not required
