Assistant Procurement Manager at Unilever in Rotterdam
As an Assistant Procurement Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in procurement with suppliers, and collaborate in a cross-functional environment!
What are you going to do:
Unilever in Rotterdam is looking for an Assitant Procurement Manager to oversee the Collaborative Manufacturing of Unilever's professional portfolio, and supplier relationships.
Responsibilities
• Provide the business with accurate price forecasting narrative,
including market conditions understanding, current and future price trends;
• Deliver savings and value through negotiations, tenders, understanding micro and macro
environments, portfolio analysis (cost benchmarking and cost modelling) and cross
functional collaboration;
• Prepare negotiation strategy and manage negotiations jointly;
• Deliver on key financial targets such as gross margin improvement through savings and
cash flow improvement;
• Managing supplier relationships as first point of contact;
• Scouting for new suppliers that are fit for purpose and in line with the Supply Chain
strategy;
• Build partnership with key suppliers and guarantee supplier compliance (audits,
specifications, general terms and conditions);
• Develop contingency plans and alternatives to ensure supply security;
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a strong analytical mindset on someone who has a can-do attitude and negotiation skills. You are experienced in communication and with working in cross-functional teams. Additionally, you know stakeholder management, are eager to collaborate and drive change, and are able to work in fast-paced environments.
You are digitally-savvy, have knowledge of finance
What we offer:
- A monthly (bruto) wage between €3700,- and €5000,-;

What we ask:
- At least finished hbo Preferably towards supply chain management;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain and at least 1 years of experience in FMCG;
- Finance experience is a big plus;
- Excellent skills in presenting, Powerpoint, Excel and SAP;
- Fluent communication and verbal/writing skills in English, another European language is a plus.
