Fulltime Assistant Procurement Manager at Unilever Rotterdam

As an Assistant Global Procurement Manager at Unilever in Rotterdam, you’ll take on a vital role in managing global sourcing strategies.

What are you going to do:

In this fulltime position, you’ll join the Global Naturals Procurement team and support the end-to-end buying responsibilities for Unilever’s Animal Proteins category. You’ll focus on driving cost efficiencies, ensuring supply continuity, and enabling Unilever’s commitments to animal welfare. With a global remit covering Chicken Meat and Seafood, and regional coordination across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, you’ll work closely with internal teams like R&D, Finance, and Sustainability, and build long-term relationships with suppliers.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing global procurement strategies for animal proteins like meat, eggs, and seafood

  • Drive cost savings, value creation, and ensure supply resilience through strong sourcing strategies and negotiations

  • Lead global responsibility for sourcing chicken and seafood, and support the implementation of Unilever’s Cage Free and High Animal Welfare initiatives

  • Manage existing supplier relationships and scout for new partnerships aligned with global sourcing goals

  • Work cross-functionally with global teams to align category plans and contribute to key innovations and technology improvements

What we ask:

  • At least finished hbo preferably in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Business;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain; experience in FMCG is a plus;
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills;
  • Fluent in English; another European language is a plus;
  • A “can-do” mentality, strong communication skills, and experience working cross-functionally.
